Addressable Memory: Michael Takeo Magruder

A new exhibition by an internationally recognised artist that explores the critical and aesthetic notions of memory within contemporary life. Site-specific installations, Internet Art and generative paintings will be among the displays.
Art in Gardens Cheshire Artists Network
June 28 - August 2
To mark Cheshire's Year of Gardens in 2008, CAN are embarking on a series of exhibitions across the county. Works in a wide variety of media including drawing, painting and sculpture will be on show. Artist Mary Low is creating a site-specific wall drawing for the gallery.

Take photographs, paint watercolours, draw or make sculpture? Whether you have years of experience or are new to making art, you can submit a work of art you have created for this yearŐs exhibition, showcasing the creativity in our borough.
To enter, collect an entry form from the Brindley box office, your local library or community centre, or call 0151 907 8360 to have one posted to you. (Available in June). Handing in dates 25 & 26 July

Work by regional artists and makers is displayed in our large and small craft cabinets in the arts centre foyer. Highlights this seasoninclude:

Beautiful bags and objects created using feltmaking, woodturning and moulding plywood.

Organic and natural forms are explored in intricate jewellery.
Getting Better July 9 - August 12
When love and life let you down, you can cry a thousand tears or make a thousand pots. . . Helene Frank spent a year doing both.
