There are reading groups at
- Halton Lea Library;
- Widnes Library;
- and Runcorn Library.
They are FREE and everyone is welcome.
If you and a group of friends would like to start enjoying books together we can help you get started.
Reading Groups in the Library
Our groups consists of both men and women of various ages and new faces and opinions are always welcomed.
We aim to make sure everyone gets to have their say even if they didn’t manage to read the entire book.
Occasionally we have Reading Group nights focusing on a particular event such as the Orange and Booker Prizes, or a Christmas evening (a speciality for the quiz goers!)

Reading groups in the community
We can help you set up your own reading group with everything you need.
Your group will get its own Reading Group ticket which will allow you to borrow from our special Reading Group collection.
Keep the books for six weeks, and don't worry about paying any fines, as reading groups aren't charged for fines. Plus you get our Reading Group pack which gives you all the information you need to run your own group.
Some of our Libraries have meeting rooms or space available for you to meet in, usually during opening hours.
